“Recovery is a process of change. Throughout the length of the program, we will guide family members towards recovery from their own co-addiction and help them establish healthy boundaries and productive relationships with one another.” |
Family ProgramThe entire program at Mayflower Center is geared to establishing a new, sound, sober life, where residents are not merely abstaining from alcohol and other drugs, but have identified and altered addictive behaviors and unhealthy patterns in their lives, and have established healthy and sober relationships with their loved ones. The impact of addiction is devastating to families. Therefore, the involvement of family members in the establishment and maintenance of sobriety is crucial. We are striving to interrupt the pattern of relapse in our clients, with the goal of ending their cycle of addiction and helping them establish new life-long patterns promoting healthy and productive lifestyles. Mayflower Center is small and uniquely able to deliver services in a highly individualized manner. Each resident and family is treated according to their needs and based on their own experiences. We provide this level of care by maintaining small therapist caseloads, highly specialized group therapy sessions and family assistance that is very detailed. It is hard to over-emphasize the impact of addiction on a family. However, when families are appropriately educated, guided, and actively engaged in the treatment process, the outcome is usually very productive, often having a positive and profound impact on the Mayflower Center client. "I want to thank you again for your hard work and enlightening presentation at Mayflower for the family program last week It was so relevant to my family and each one of us individually. I'm eager to reread the written materials and notes from the workshop. I appreciate your research and ability to communicate results in straightforward language ready to grasp. I want to move myself forward to greater happiness and success in life and you are an inspiration! I'd like to continue to touch base with you, i.e. "check in" — such a meaningful metaphor for what I need to do for myself every day." Warm regards,
